MEET NAGLA ORLANDO, M.ED., CEP

Nagla Orlando is a Certified Educational Planner (CEP), seasoned college admissions expert, credentialed California educator, and founder of Knowledge Worx 4 College, Inc. With over 25 years of experience in the classroom and more than a decade as an Independent Educational Consultant (IEC), Nagla brings a unique blend of academic insight, counseling expertise, and personalized support to students and families navigating the college admissions process.

A former AP Biology and Anatomy & Physiology teacher, Nagla holds a Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Instruction and leverages her deep background in STEM education to support students pursuing competitive programs in science, medicine, and engineering. Since launching her consulting practice in 2014, she has guided hundreds of students through list building, application strategy, essay development, and merit aid planning, always with a focus on fit, authenticity, and student well-being.

From 2020 to 2025, Nagla served as a regional coordinator for both IECA and HECA. In recognition of her leadership and contributions to the profession, she was elected by her peers in 2025 to serve on the HECA Board as Director at Large. She is also an instructor in the UCLA College Counseling Certificate Program, where she helps train the next generation of IECs. A dedicated member of AICEP, Nagla visits over 20 college campuses each year to ensure her knowledge remains current and expansive, giving her students, families and peers, the benefit of up-to-date, firsthand insight into academic programs, campus culture, and admissions trends.

In 2025, Nagla launched the WORX Curriculum Toolkit, the first structured, white-label advising system designed specifically for IECs. Built on her years of curriculum design and practical advising experience, WORX empowers consultants to systematize their practice while maintaining high-touch, personalized guidance. The toolkit is now used by leading IECs across the country.

Nagla’s approach is rooted in clarity, compassion, and collaboration. She works closely with school counselors to align support for students, adapts her guidance to reflect the realities of today’s admissions landscape, and provides expert insight on institutional priorities, shifting standards, and strategic decision-making.

Whether she’s mentoring new consultants, presenting at national conferences, or supporting students one-on-one, Nagla is deeply committed to empowering others with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to succeed.
